*Last updated: April 2026*

SRMD Indian News is an independent Indian digital news publisher. This Editorial Policy governs all content produced, edited, and published by our newsroom.

Editorial Independence

SRMD Indian News maintains complete editorial independence from its commercial operations. No advertiser, brand partner, or sponsor has any influence over editorial decisions — including story selection, headline writing, article content, or publication timing. See our Brand Partnerships & Advertising Policy for details.

Accuracy and Verification

Accuracy is the first obligation of journalism. All factual claims must be supported by at least one credible source. For sensitive, financial, or data-driven reporting we follow the verification procedures in our Fact-Checking & Verification Policy. When we make errors, we correct them per our Corrections & Retractions Policy.

Named Bylines and Attribution

Every article published by SRMD Indian News carries a named byline. Author biographies and credentials are available on our Editorial Team page. When we reference external sources we provide proper attribution within the article.

Source Protection

SRMD Indian News respects the confidentiality of sources who provide information on condition of anonymity. We use anonymous sourcing only when the information is of significant public interest and cannot be obtained through other means. In such cases, at least one editor must know the identity of the source.

SRMD Indian News covers five primary editorial beats: Entertainment & Celebrity Finance, Indian Automotive, Cricket & Sports, Daily Commodity Prices, and Trending India. Each beat is staffed by journalists with relevant expertise.

Opinions and Analysis

SRMD Indian News clearly distinguishes between news reporting and opinion or analysis. News articles report verified facts. Analysis and opinion pieces are labelled as such and represent the view of the author, not of SRMD Indian News as an institution.

Conflicts of Interest

Journalists at SRMD Indian News are required to disclose any personal, financial, or familial relationships that could reasonably be perceived as a conflict of interest. Our full guidelines are in our Ethics Policy.

Legal Compliance

SRMD Indian News operates in compliance with applicable Indian law, including the IT Act 2000, IT Rules 2021, and the DPDP Act 2023. Complaints may be directed to our Grievance Officer via the Contact Us page.
